Introducing WSP Series
The WSP series spin down sediment filter is the first line defense to your appliances. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners and expensive appliances.
Easy Maintenance
The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush and/or soak it in vinegar.
Note
Water softeners and whole house systems usually do not lower the TDS level of the water. An additional Reverse Osmosis system may be necessary for your drinking water. Please consult iSpring professionals prior to purchase if you are unsure of which product will meet your needs.
Why Siliphos
- Siliphos is a water treatment compound, a glass-like Polyphosphate. It originates from the milk thistle seed.
- Siliphos prevent so-called ‘brown’ or ‘red’ water; eliminates hardness scaling; stops corrosions of plumbing and bathroom fixtures.
- Siliphos forms a thin protective layer on the inside of pipes. This film is microscopic in thickness.
- All components used in Siliphos are pure food grade materials. Siliphos is colorless, tasteless and odorless in the concentrations recommended for treatment. Coffee and tea might even taste better.
- Please avoid the mistake of using 'fine' filters for 'rough' water and causing the filters to clog sooner than expected. Well Water may start from 500 to 50 micron, while city water can start from 50 to 5 micron. Choose the right filter cartridges with different micron ratings and filter media depending on source water quality and contaminants.
- Use multi-stage filters to achieve one of the best filtering result and longer cartridge life.

Smaller microns allow less through, but to get most life and efficiency out of your filters it’s important to only go as small as you need. Differences in water quality and your water pressure affect the performance of the WSP.

This is my second filter from iSpring. I am very pleased with the quality of the product and how well it works. When I received the filter with Siliphos, I noticed that there was fine powder in the box and discovered that one of the Siliphos balls had broken. I contacted customer service to make sure it was okay to use the filter, and spoke with Sean. After telling me that it was fine, he offered to send me a replacement filter free of charge, which he did.I highly recommend iSpring products, they work well, are relatively inexpensive, are very well built, and they have outstanding customer support!

The most noteworthy point that i'd like to make is the manufacturers customer service. I contacted their customer service and was greeted by Machele. She was very under standing to my needs and most attentive in resolving my issue. I just can't say enough about her helpfulness and professionalism'. Well done!

I accidentally ended up ordering one 50 micron and one 500 micron version of these and tried to cancel the 500. For whatever reason, the order didn’t cancel and I received them both. I contacted iSpring and talked to Nick who was very knowledgeable and helpful. He said that the 50 might be too fine depending on the condition of my water and he offered to send 100 and 200 micron filter replacements to try in case the 50 filled up too quickly. I had those within a couple of days at no charge.Instead of sending the 500 back, I decided to keep both of the pre-filters. Installation was straight forward and I installed them to run one into the other. I tried a 500 micron in the first and a 50 micron in the second. The 500 so far has stayed pretty clean, so I may drop that one down to the 200 or 100 that Nick sent. The 50 in the second filter is catching stuff, so I will have to see how long it goes before it plugs up and the pressure drops. With both in line, with clean filters, it doesn’t seem to adversely effect the pressure of the whole system. I figure this should allow me to go longer between changes on the more expensive 5 micron, KDF and ACB filters.I can’t speak to the silophos aspect of these yet as they were just installed a few days ago. I am curious to see if the sediment I normally get in the water heater is reduced.I would recommend this product and company. Thanks Nick.
