I ordered the Kesnos 80 Pints Energy Star Dehumidifier from Amazon to dehumidify my entire home which is about 1500 square feet with 8 foot ceiling height. Living in Florida removing the humidity in the home is a 12 month ordeal. The product works extremely well and I am totally satisfied. The main reason for the purchase is to reduce the humidity levels during the months that the air conditioning is not needed to cool the home.After waiting the required 24 hours after setup - I ran the unit on the low fan setting in the center bedroom of the house with the door closed - it brought the humidity down from 62% to 45% in roughly 2 hours. This reading was confirmed by a hygrometer placed in the bedroom. Afterwards I opened the door and the process of reducing the humidity level in the entire home began and after 12 hours operations - I have emptied the bucket twice.I did have an issue with the first one sent to us directly from Amazon – so I contacted Kesnos customer service department. After a few attempts at trouble shooting – it was determined that the unit was damaged and could not be fixed. They sent out a replacement immediately. The level of professionalism of the Kesnos customer service department is of the highest quality and I am confident based on their great service and the early operation of the unit – I choose the correct unit for my home. I give both the customer service department and the product – a 5 stars rating.This unit is well made, easy to operate and quiet. The unit is working great and is reducing the humidity in the entire home. I love this thing! I highly recommend for anyone looking for the best of a whole house dehumidifier.

Fantastic dehumidifier. Keeps room at 40 relative humidity without issue. Takes the room from 80 humidity to 40 in about 15 minutes. It's very effective! Removed the musty smell we had in the basement in just 2 days of using it. Would buy again if I needed another, 100% !

updated 10/2024:someone from Kesnos finally got in touch with me to address my concerns. I had already returned the unit months ago, but they were very apologetic and made me feel like they stood by their product and warranty. if they could only manufacture a sturdier hose for it, I would consider getting it in the future.******************************************************It's not a bad unit, but I had to return it for 2 reasons. 1st off, I believe that I received a used or returned dehumidifier. It was well packaged, but it had scuff marks and was dirty in multiple places that made me question if it was new. Secondly, the continuous hose option failed in less than 5 hours of use. I attached it to a 5 gallon bucket that I placed below the unit, and it was working great for a little while. But I suppose I shouldn't have expected much since the plastic hose is so flimsy. I used the unit for a few days without the hose, and it worked fine - it dried out my basement fairly well, but having to empty the bucket every 3 to 5 hours was not going to work for my needs. I contacted their customer service with my issues and photos as requested, but they just requested that I send more photos and videos. I had family visiting at the time, and I didn't want to keep going back and forth to convince them that my concerns were legitimate, so I ended up just returning the unit back to amazon. No fuss, no questions asked and free return shipping.As dehumidifiers go, it's average. It's not loud and it functions okay. But if you need the continuous hose option like me, search for a unit that has a stronger hose. I reckon the sensor must have stopped working and it just wasn't able to sense that the hose was attached - which doesn't surprise me since you can easily just pull the hose on and off. Normally, the hose should be a tight fit to the unit. For the price, I expected more.

I moved into my uncles home in October (inheritance blessing )and he had a Frigidaire dehumidifier in the basement that was of concern .I was always worried when I left the house the unit would blow up break down because the noise was way too loud .I would unplug the unit every time I left the house for more than a few hours which was inconvenient .I exercise in my basement with the TV on and would need to put the volume on high so I could hear the television !I decided to purchase a Kesnos unit .It was an easy installation process and came with an easy to understand user manual .The noise level was like night and day .I could not believe the difference between the Frigidaire and the Kesnos dehumidifier in more than just the noise.Besides the worrisome noise issue ,my clothes from the laundry drying on hangers always had a musty smell when drying.Now with this Kesnos unit ,the clothes are not damp anymore .Everything smells better, there is no musty odor at all.I never write reviews but I am so happy with this dehumidifier I felt compelled to write a review .My brother bought the same unit for his basement and told me it has high quality seals and has the energy efficient Star which is important to save money .I put the unit on low and it does an amazing job with an automatic shut off switch which for me is important.The value for the money is well worth buying ,it covers 5500sq feet which is more than enough for my basement .I highly recommend this unit ,it's easy to use and has a nice looking design, its lightweight and has casters on the bottom so you can easily move the unit to another room .I am extremely happy with customer service also .They will respond to your questions promptly in which this service is invaluable .

The JD025D-80 Kesnos Dehumidifier was a Great purchase for us. We had looked at other models but decided on the JD025D-80 because of it’s sleek minimalistic appearance and function, and once we started using it we were equally impressed with it’s performance. It quickly reduces the humidity in our basement to whatever level we set it at and then automatically stops. We also appreciate that it’s quiet, easy to maneuver and the water tank is easy to remove and dump. We highly recommend it.
