false advertising, cable is 3,5 feet long, and for PC use you need a splitter adaptor, cable is cheap. Avoid.

I got this to replace a dying cable. It was a great replacement that does the job exactly like you'd expect.

My daughter's school requested "wired headphones with a microphone" and I purchased a set that could be used either wired or wireless, thinking she'd just use them with the optional aux cable and be fine. As it turns out, while the microphone works fine with the wireless connection, the included aux cable only carried audio in, not audio out.I opted to try this as a solution for her problem, and it works perfectly, supplementing the audio in with its own microphone to provide audio out when the other end is plugged into her tablet. The microphone itself is small, easy to position, and picks up voices just fine. The only negative I can think of is that the foam cover for the microphone slips off pretty easily, I do wish it stuck on there a little tighter, but that's pretty minor.I should also point out, it is nowhere near the listed 6.6 feet, I'm not sure why they would even list that. The one I got is about 4 feet, which I prefer for headphones, I generally find 6 feet too long. But if you ARE looking for a longer cable, beware the specs on this. I'm tempted to dock a star for being misleading, but since the discrepancy is in the direction I prefer, I'll leave it.It's hard for me to believe there are many people with headphones with a detachable aux cable who need to add a microphone. However, as one of those people, it's hard for me to imagine a better solution than this.
