I've never owned a lava lamp and this one reminded me of swimming pools at night or snorkeling at night, which is really specific, but if that's a thing you did/do, you'll know how relaxing and almost otherworldly it can be. I've had it for a few months now. I remember to run it so the wax doesn't get clogged. It heats up, but a lava lamp won't work without the heat, so that's a good thing. It's a nice companion for late night work and/or gaming.

This was such a great gift for 6yr old. He turns it on every night for bed and thinks it so cool!

Love the lamp and colors. Only concern is that it gets extremely hot.
