This key fob was very easy to program, largely because my GMT900 makes it so easy with the DIC. The key fob came with a new battery already installed. The fob works well, in fact, it has slightly better range than my old fob did. The one downside is the buttons protrude out past the shell of the fob. This unfortunately makes it too easy to accidentally hit a button when the fob is in your pocket. The buttons on the factory fob are flush with the shell so you cannot accidentally push them. Now having said that, some people may prefer the protruding buttons...such as people with arthritis in their fingers. For me it is a dislike , but maybe someone will prefer it this way. The value is on par with other aftermarket key fobs on the market.
