It's for my TV on the deck and I needed a flat plug to fit under the cover.

While the length is great a nice feature is the plug can rotate 360 degrees to ensure the best fitment to the power source. Nice heavy gauge and well made

This black cord gives us power. I thought it was waterproof but found out it's not.

I have 3 of these and are fantastic in design, function and durability. Would give 5 stars, but here's my but....I noticed when buying my first one and looking at pictures shown on here, it was showing small appliances being plugged into them. Then today I read in comments someone plugged a microwave into it. Maximm and or Amazon need to post a waring that countertop appliances should not be plugged into the rotating cord. It says rated at 15amps but that means at peak start up. Microwaves will run at high amp draw while they are running, as well do other small appliances like coffee makers and toasters. The only few appliances that these could be used for are bean grinders, hand mixers, stationary mixers and the like. Do not use these cords for appliances that create heat for cooking, these put out higher amps while running and can cause the cords to overheat and melt or worse, fire. Maximm sells heavier duty cords for these applications and they need to rewrite the specs for the rotating plugs to not be used on heat rendering countertop appliances. I will buy more of these as needed, but they have a specific use and are not for anything and everything.

Well the one thing that I really like the most about this extension cord is the flat plug style. Now I have really been annoyed with the big fat plugs that usually stick out of the wall socket especially when you have furniture that needs to be up against the plug. I really like that I can plug this in at any rotation that I desire and also move a piece of furniture like a headboard or a dresser up against it and not have to keep it a few inches away from the wall. It is very sturdy and the cord length is perfect for my use. I have this plugged in behind a headboard so that I can plug in my phone chargers to charge my phones on my bedside table. Overall I would recommend this extension cord .
