I ordered this product in addition to Mould King's V8 engine+transmission since I love building technic-style sets with lots of moving parts and it looked like a fun little build.I'll have to admit, compared to other off-brand lego clones that have the similar style boxes and pieces, Mould King is BY FAR the closest to the lego standard I've seen after trying out countless others and it really keeps the bar high on the quality side. That being said, there are a few 1 in a million individual pieces that get ever-so slightly messed up during production, such as a little extra plastic on a small technic pin, but overall a great brand to buy from!This set in particular has you assembling approximately 730 pieces to make a somewhat compact V12 engine. It takes 6 AA batteries of your choice (not included) and takes anywhere from an afternoon, if you're a very experienced builder, to a day or so if you deem yourself new to the technic scene, but overall a moderate building experience.I HIGHLY recommend this set for anybody looking to try out a discount lego brand to combat inflation taking its toll on your fun.

This engine kit from Mould King is an excellent deal when compared to a Lego Technic kit of the same part-count and complexity. There are a few issues with the kit, but none of them are enough to warrant a star, even when combined, considering that this is a budget set. The kit itself comes in a very nice box which is gift worthy. The first issue is injection molding artifacts. There are little dots on most of the pieces, where the surface dimples slightly, and while I have not run into any that prevent blocks from snapping together, some of them can be unsightly and require that you think through how you are going to arrange them so the injection artifact doesn't show on the exterior of the model. Also, some of the parts a just a tiny bit out of tolerance, which also makes you have to rotate the pieces to find the best fit. As for the model design itself, it is a very detailed and intricate expression of a V12 engine using Lego Technic style pieces. For a young would-be engineer it is a great learning aid and will provide many hours of entertainment during assembly. Having the finished model will also be a nice achievement. Some of the Mould King models are more miss than hit, but I found this V12 engine to be Aces.Five Star Budget Technic Clone

I have always wanted to get one of these model engine kits that also runs for awhile now so when i saw this RR V12 engine kit i was pretty happy and grab it. While right now i need the time and also the room to start building it cause i do have cats so i can't just having it laying around at the moment but it forsure will be a fun weekend project for when i do.I was very surprised how detailed every part looks and they come in these bags that is also numbered and they do look like they well made and should not have a problem with putting each one together and i also like the look of the battery box and motor and like how the motor clips on the battery box which is also a solid connection also and it's nice seeing that it also has a power on and off switch cause some kits i saw before did not have one and you had to unplug the plug each time, And another thing i like is it takes 6 aa batterys instead of using triple aaa batterys or a single 9 volt which i prefer everything i get to use aa batterys.While i have not build it yet but i will when i have time and a stable area to do it at i do not see any cons with it and looks like every piece is there when i went through them, And the instruction book that's another thing i was surprised about its very detailed and it shows you every step to build it on each page which for being my first engine model kit it should be very easy and fun to do i can't wait when i get time to do so and when i have it finish i will give a update forsure.Gets a big thumbs up from me i like it👍

I made a promise to myself that after I put together a set that had over 3000 parts, I'd never do that again. ANYWAY, I got this because I love big ole engines and wanted to put one together! It came in a nice box that was well organized, with each bag containing a certain 'chapter' of parts that I would have to put together based on what is in the book. Because of this organization, it's easy to put together without many issues. I've put together quite a few 'off brand' sets in my time, and this one was one of the easier ones I feel. No weird parts I had to jam into two places or anything funky like that. The final product looks like the picture and the build quality seems to be pretty good too. I have no idea how accurate it is to the actual engine, but it was a fun project in general. If you love big ole engines, you should like this too.
