I bought the 55 gallon version of this feeder. First trouble I had was during the assembly, the chassis of the motor would not correctly line up with the varmint plates. After more than a little tinkering, drilling, and grinding on it, I finally was able to get it completely assembled. I honestly should have stopped and cut my losses when it would not go together correctly in the first place, but I was determined to get it to work. Of course after grinding and drilling, it was not eligible for return. That was my fault.Once it was assembled and put out, the motor will jam with corn approximately every 5-15 Seconds. I tried to adjust the spinning plate up and down, but there's not enough adjustment in it to make a difference. You can get much cheaper kits, that are much more reliable elsewhere! Moultrie absolutely lost a customer after this experience.

I bought this one in 2023. The first month of usage, I had Moultrie send me a replacement controller.The controller would not spin. Moultrie stated that I should use two certain type of batteries due to them being more powerful. That was concerning but I followed their advise.I had to dump 300lbs of corn!2nd Controller Failure:Today (12/5/2024), I checked this feeder again and noticed the same problem. I opened up the lid and saw a full feeder (surprise, surprise). I did a Test run and it did not spin at all. I dumped 250lbs of corn this time (Fun!) and brought it home. The batteries tested as Good.Usage of Controller.This controller is horrible. It is very difficult to run a Test pattern and overall usage is not good. I watched a YouTube video on how to run a Test Pattern. I am a software engineer so I have a little knowledge here. Can you imagine a video on 'How To Do a Test Run' for a feeder. Why is this even a thing?I have 4 other feeders. I will not use that controller again. I did contact Moultrie and asked for any replacements that do not have that controller. I am not concerned with the money return as I am a point in my life where I value 'ease of use' over money. A nice spot to be in after all of these years.Please Moultrie, redesign this thing with a better controller unit. More powerful and easier to use controller.Man, if I was a little younger I would strongly think about going after this market! Such a low bar as of 2023.

Had to send first one back. Replacement is ok I also bought a high end feeder so for a little more money I would buy a different feeder.

This premium product did not function. Tried different batteries and no customer support. Programing was not really complicated but way more features than needed and extra confusing when it was not working.

Stopped working after 2 daysI thought as it was one of the more expensive feeders it would be better quality but its junksBeen on hold with customer service for 10 minutes make that 30 minutes on 2 separate occasions after reading some older reviews on this feeder it’s a problem they have know about for a long while but they continue to sell it knowing it’s not going to work.Amazon customer service was also shocking I spoke with 3 different agents before I could understand what they were saying now they say I have to pay a $77.00 restocking fee for something that never worked.Buy something different from elsewhere
