We bought this as a birthday gift for our cousin who has been practicing martial arts for decades. He has a huge collection of weapons and self defense items, and says he has nothing like this. It was received well and he loves its uniqueness. He is very tall and the size is comfortable for his height.

The "shield" part feels like medium grade plastic, and the 3 rows of aluminum teeth does not make you feel very protected. But it will fit your forearm and if you paint over the corny teeth rows with can of oil based matte black paint, it will make it look more menacing if you are not going for some anime convention look. You can still use your hand with it on, and I guess it will protect you from say, a small knife stab attempt or one time downward strike from a Walmart machete (it will most likely be out of commission after that hit). Overall, because of its price and kind of cheap quality, solid 3 stars.

It is of great quality materials but the thumb is a bit uncomfortable. I love it but wish the thumb area was made of good quality leather or adjusted to be a little more comfortable. It will get the job done though so I bought the left and right because I liked the first so much.

i hesitated buying this as there were cheaper options, but decided i didn't want to be disappointed in an inferior model and risk having to buy a new one. I have no regrets now as it is wonderful to use. You can put a few cloves in there, and if you're 'petite' like me, you might need to use 2 hands to squeeze down on it but because of the thick ergonomic handles, doesn't put stress on your palms or wrist. It's heavy duty so just be careful not to drop it on your counter or floor. Also the clever design means you can flip one handle around so it pushes out the remaining garlic trapped in the holes. Rinse out the press right after using so it makes clean up a breeze, it simply rinses out. It says you can use it without peeling the garlic, but it got a little messy and since i don't want to waste any of the garlic, I've always removed the skins first. i also use a small knife to scrape off the minced garlic after pressing, then use it to shift the flattened cloves around, and re-press, so I don't waste anything. I love how it makes light work of mincing all my garlic - and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Es justo lo que estaba buscando, el diseño y el acabdo es tan bueno que parece material quirurgico, se siente super resistente, lo puedes sujetar con toda seguridad, su mango es bastante agradable al tacto y no se resbala.
