This is plastic and does not instill confidence when stepping on it to turn on/off, or using it.The spike and dips of the "wah" are reversed on the pedal. Rolling your heel back increases the pitch, so there is that as well. The range of the tone is not that wide either.If you are picking up an inexpensive wah pedal to see if you'll use one... get something a bit better.As a pedal I will not use this. I am going to turn it into an onboard guitar effect, or use it in conjunction (or parts of it) with other pedals.

Wow! This wah-wah- pedal works fantastic. Brings back memories of the old VOX pedal from the seventies. This pedal works really smooth, no crackle or breakup in the sound. The tension on the pedal is just right, not too stiff or too loose. Works great for volume also, for a smooth attenuation effect.
