I'm impressed. The radio works perfectly, the sirens pretty loud, etc. Definitely a must have.

The price of this amazing, possibly life-saving little radio from LOOFHIEN, is insane for everyone not to have 1 of these in their possesion!!!!! I am not an alarmist, but we are in some interesting times currently, but even if things were more mundane, @$12.99, WHY NOT?! I'm sure I will miss some attributes, as there are a great deal of them, but here goes: You can charge this baby with the solar panel as seen on top, in an average day of sun for about 10-12 hours and the indicator light will illuminate when this is taking place. You can also use the arm to hand-crank for power, I have not ever had to do that yet, but I think this method to be able to harness power, to be able to use the flash light, which will also perform the SOS code, as well as illuminate, will also charge up radio and eventually, with enough elbow-grease, you can charge up your cell phone by charging that via either port, to make an emergency call!! To me the hand-crank is the most vitally important because you have power from nothing else at all but yourself!! That is amazing to me, and SO invaluable!! And the 3rd source is Electric, charging through the USB cord, which is included that you can plug in an outlet with a charger in your home, or anywhere that has power, a Jackery generator, or a portable power bank, which also I believe everyone should have several. The volume is very audible and has AM/ FM & NOAA. It is waterproof to a degree, just don't submerge, and if it is idle for 60 days or 1st use, hand-crank or leave in sunlight for 3-5 minutes to activate internal battery. It has self -protections to not overload battery or short circuit. It can also charge other devices such as laptops, MP3 Players etc. The stations of both bandwidths come in quite clear where I am in a suburb, without even putting up antenna, and fairly loud, but of course if at full volume, is not quite as clear and music a bit distorted so then not as enjoyable, but for this size and price, this is quite an invaluable and remarkable asset to all!!! Fabulous gift, especially to the person who has everything!! Lastly, I will add the stature of this emergency radio, as you can see from photos, is SO small, will fit easily in most handbags, backpacks, and many coat pockets! A true treasure!!!

There Are Always Pros And Cons Of A Emergency Radio And Here Is What I Found About This Emergency Radio. So When You Order This Charge It I Wanted To Test Out How Long It Takes For You To Use It As A Battery Charger It Gave My Phone 10 to 12% Of A Charge I Didn't Try Out After I Fully Charge It So It Might Charge More. Hand Crank Was A Little Bit Stiff So I Open The Battery Port And Put Some White Grease On The Cog Wheels And Its A Little Bit Easy Now To Crank It. Solar Works On It There Is A Light Indicator That Shows That Is It Being Charge Also When Had Cranking And Also Charging By Usb. Light Does Work But Don't Expect High Beams Of Light. Getting On To The Radio Part Of The Radio The Weather Band Sucks A Little Bit On This Thing Have A Antenna Up And Close To A Window To Hear It Fully Clear And Not It A Room Away From A Window. AM Sucks Even At Night Time It Just Dispense On If Your In A City Close By Stations In Your Area. FM Sucks Also I Got Other Radios That Tune In Better Than This Thing. Speaker Is A Tiny Speaker Almost Like The Ones That Are In The Old Phones From The 70s And 80s You Can Hear The Radio But Don't Think Its Going To Blow Your Mind. If Your Using The Light On This Thing And AM Band Its Not Going To Work Because Of Interfere Of The Light There Is A High Buzz Noise. For The Price Its Ok As A Emergency But If You Want A Pack A Punch Radio With All The Same things As Then Go For It. 3 Out Of 5 Stars For Me

Surprisingly good radio reception! My favorite function is the ability to power a cell phone by winding the dynamo. Cell phones are so essential these days and there's a certain terror when you realize you not only don't have a charge, but also don't have a way of recharging... So I absolutely love that feature. Keep in mind you will need to keep whatever appropriate charging cable you need for YOUR phone handy because this thing, no matter how cool it is, does not charge through osmosis. You might consider taping a little envelope with a spare cable to this device. (Just a suggestion.)The other functions also work very well. There is a solar charger to top off the device's internal battery during the day so you don't HAVE to rely only on the "winding dynamo" feature. The radio has three bands: AM, FM and "Weather Band" and they all seem to work well enough. I am able to pick up regular channels surprisingly well using only the tiny, built in, extending antenna. There is also an LED flashlight, of course, which offers three different lighting levels. If you hold the "flashglight control" button down for a couple seconds then an alarm-sounding whooping siren turns on along with the flashlight blinking on and off.One feature that is missing is any kind of indicator to convey the fullness of (or lack of) charge of the internal battery. That's a pretty big oversight in a survival situation. I mean, yeah: you can crank the dynamo as needed, but it might be nicer to *know* how much charge you have so that you can manage your resources. The only real answer is to practice using the thing until the battery runs out and then experiment with how much cranking it takes to power the radio or light or a cell phone for how long, etc.Once you have played around with it then you can have a feel for how much charge you've got based on how you charged it and for how long, but a simple charge indicator could have gone a long way.

After visiting family during Hurricane Milton in Fla, where we had a similar unit, I knew I needed this. After just getting it we got a bad storm and I'm currently on day 3 with no power. I've used it 2 nights now.In big storms, many don't realize that cell towers often don't work, or they may limit data to first responders, so you can't always use "normal cellular" sources for information. With a device like this, you have Am/FM/Weather Band, a flashlight, and the (small) battery can give your phone a charge in an energency. It even has a siren. Its great that the internal 2,000 mah battery can be charged by solar, crank, or by plugging it in (USB to usb C cord provided)Some specs/details per instructions: On initial use or if idle more than 60 days, crank handle for 3-5 min. Subsequent charging/cranking for 1 minute provides 15-20 min of light, 15-20 min of radio usage on medium volume, 3-5 min of siren. The light has, high, medium, low. It does not flash as it appears on video. But during the siren mode, the light does flash. The tuner dial is very sensitive and requires minor adjustments for AM/FM. Weather band is not bad at all. This little unit is very convenient and handy for what it is. I highly recommend this little unit because it works, its compact, it can help in an emergency situation and at $12 (time of review) I think its a bargain.
