This antenna gave better overall TX & RX on my UV25. Even though the 2 antennas that comes with the uv25 are good, this one gave better SWR readings throughout the spectrum

So this is a great heavy duty floppy antenna if that is what you are looking for; however, I honestly didn't notice too much of a difference when compared to the stock rubber duck. Granted, most of my HT use is simply for repeater use and not simplex. It did pick up a maritime signal near my house a little bit clearer compared to the rubber duck. I did not notice any difference when listening to the cross-repeater on the ISS. Take it with a grain of salt, as your mileage may vary for your specific use, I would assume it would shine better on simplex.But if you need a replacement or want something else to have on hand, the price isn't bad at all. And like most reviews I have seen of all of these nagoya clone antennas, it does have a slight fitment issue, they include a cheesy rubber washer as a fix, but I didn't notice any sort of performance loss without it, just a 2ish millimetre gap.

Better than expected, and as good as my Diamond brand HT antenna. Definitely functions better than the standard Baofeng radio rubber ducky antennas that come with the radio. I actually made a base station antenna with this by adding some ground plane radials. SWR tested low on the NanoVNA.

I have a pile of stock H.T. and cheap antennas. A few are 15.4" Nagoya NA771 fakes and some telescopic and 6"-7" rubber ducky type. I decided to fire up the Nano VNA, set up a ground plane around the SMA and test them all. The results were eye opening. This Retevis was tuned pretty well! Pulling a SWR at 430MHZ at about 1.3:1 (the fake Nagoya with identical length about 12.8:1 SWR!). Around 160MHZ for the AAR channels i was targeting was 1.8:1 SWR with the Retevis. The moral of the story is don't buy cheap fakes thinking there is no difference. This Retevis is not expensive and actually performs well in the range they designed it for.
