I bought this for my fiancé. I thought it would help make it easier to install our new flooring. We haven’t got to use it yet but we have played around with it and it seems like it’ll do a good job. I will update my post when we are able to use it to keep you updated.

i've had the Saker Contour Gauge Profile Tool- Adjustable Lock (10in) for 5 months now, but only using it on a coupla times, but for which, with some quasi-dyslexic learning curve [sic] practice, worked great for me. It's one of those if you need it, it's a real time saver for custom fit perfection. My prior romps with such had been to eyeball and cut templates (typically multiple attempts) and getting 'close'; no more with this neato tool. One project for me was to cut a solid rubber threshold ramp (used for wheelchairs/rollators). I cut both ends, using the Contour Gauge to 'map' each side of the door frame moldings. i then traced that onto the back of the rubber ramp, using a coping saw to cut it --to a near perfect match, leaving the ramp custom-cut snugly in contact with the modeling and baseboards. Tho i've not used one without it, i don't want to even imagine doing it without the locking feature. i'm satisfied with my ($19.95 + free amazon shipping + tax) purchase, as i consider it a good investment in my handyman tool shop for professional looking results.

This item works well, but should be longer and a bit more easier to slide. I found that it just fell short each use. I used it to trim some flooring tiles around the door molding. This product worked ok, but it could’ve been a lot better.
