As i said in the headline, good replacement pickup for budget guitars. This pickup has a very high output... Mine measures out to 16k for both in the set. They sound good and articulate. For the price they are a great deal.

I just swapped these into a Agile Pendulum 6 string and wow, what an improvement. They have a bright, full tone and sound great from clean to full meltdown and everything in between. Changing them out took some modification but that's due to the design of the guitar itself, nothing to do with the pickups. Other than that, if you can solder, it's pretty simple to install these. They're 5-wire, so you can set them up for coil tapping if you want to. They're a standard humbucker platform and fit the rings just fine. I was a little worried about the pole pieces lining up with the strings, being mounted at an angle on a multiscale guitar that used to have blade pickups, but they do just fine picking up the signal and producing a clear sound with great tone. They had a bunch of wax on the face plates when I received them, but that's no big deal. For the price of these pickups you can't really go wrong with giving them a try.

These pick ups measured 16.2k ohms/bridge, and 7.62k ohms/ neck. They were easy to balance to get an even volume in all positions. Build quality is very good. For high gain I used a Friedman BE/OD, and it was excellent. A 100watt Marshall, 1960 A/B cab. Plus a 4x10, Hot Rod Deville in stereo. These pick ups clean up and sound clear and balanced in all positions. A J. Rocket “DUDE”, with a tube screamer, and Blues driver stacked was also excellent.Just the Amps..no pedals with lot’s of head room, they sounded very good.I have several Gibsons too……no need to break the bank to sound good.My 15watt Vox amps sound great too. Orange Crush 12 too…. It all worked well with these pick ups.

Can you spot the fake? I bought these very inexpensive invaders to go with my real one. When I run the middle pickup and the SD bridge pickup it sounds brighter, however the middle one by itself, not so good. They weren't labeled neck or bridge that I noticed so I assume they are the same. I didn't run one of these in the bridge location so I can't tell you if it holds it's own as the lone bridge pickup. They look exactly like the Invader so for 25 bucks, I'm happy.

Listen -- these may not sound great at home at lower volume; I wasn't super impressed with them when I first installed them in a guitar build for a friend of mine. They did, however, look great and match the aesthetic of the guitar, so that was a big plus. Tonally at low volume, these pickups are dull as can be with muted highs and what seemed like an absurd amount of low end. However, when my friend used the guitar at his first gig, I was floored -- these pickups are really all midrange, and his guitar tone cut through the mix in a four-piece metal band like absolutely no other! He later switched to a far, far more expensive guitar to finish the set...and it didn't sound near as good as these did. It was quite surprising.Overall, these are quite decent pickups for heavy music styles and well worth the price in terms of construction, looks, and tone.
