This has held up much better than my last prong collar! My dog is very dominant and loved to pull me while on the leash. This allows me more control over the dominance and helps me trian him to understand how to better walk on a leash. Also let's us enjoy more walks as we train. And he's not hurting himself on it as he would a regular leash and collar. This helps him to stop the dragging and walk normal allowing him to breath better and everything. I know ppl look down on these collars but it benefits the dog more than it harms it. It's more harm for a dog to not know how to properly walk on the leash and choke himself than it is to use this to train for better.

Bought it for my husky that pulls a lot. Fits perfectly and you can adjust it by pulling out some prongs. Very easy to put on and take off. Not too heavy but heavy enough that it makes me confident is it's ability to withhold my pups pulling and has reduced how much he pulls. Would buy again if needed.

The collar looks like it is for a cat/super small dog. Only came with one prong for extending the length. Cheap material. 0 stars.

We have a giant gsd who is the only dog who pulls so much that its not fun to walk him. Finally this collar has helped tremendously and every day we work together with it, he walks better and better. My reason for 4 stars is that its not adjustable and I didn't know that when I purchased it. So its a bit big for my gsd. I feel that there's enough room near the clip that a small adjustment could be added to make the collar fit perfectly

I had seen prong type collars before, but I always thought they looked very inhumane. However, after working with a dog trainer, at her recommendation, I temporality put aside my apprehension based on her professional opinion and gave one a try. It worked so well, and required so little force or effort, as opposed to a huge amount of both when trying to control my dog with a regular type collar. I hated before using a prong collar how much strain and tension was on my poor dog’s neck when trying to walk with her, but that was eliminated when using this type of collar. I found that while it needs to be snug, if certainly doesn’t have to be tight, just like with a standard collar, and my dog actually looks forward to putting hers on now because she knows it means we’re going out. This is not the collar I have for my dog. Mine’s a girl, and she has a cute gold one. But I found myself needing to watch my brother’s dog for a week, a 90lb lab, without a lot of training, and on day one it became very apparent that a regular collar was just not going to work. That first day it was an excruciating tug of war just to walk around the front yard. I ordered this right away. I knew he’d like the black and silver colors, and I thought the removable, (and washable) cover was a nice feature. Luckily it arrived the next day, and the rest of the dog sitting week was much better for me and his dog. Just like mine, his dog was immediately far better at not pulling with this on, and requiring a mere fration of the effort to do so. They look like they’d be very uncomfortable, but the dogs really don’t seem to mind having them on. They don’t whine, nip at, or try to get them off. I can understand if you look at this, and think it looks terrible to use, I understand because I too felt like that, until I used one, and realized how much less stress on the dog’s neck this is, and how quickly they become accustomed to it and how effective they are. After returning his dog, he’s been continuing to use the collar, also with great results. Give it a try, just don’t put it on too tight, and don’t pull too hard, as it’s not at all necessary. I think you’ll be happier and your little friend won’t have a sprained neck.
