These Thermal Grizzly Minus thermal pads work as expected. Simple to use and install. These pads come in a decent size, are easy to cut, and apply to whatever you need to mount a heatsink on. These pads also have a decent weight to them.Able to fit in my system with some material left over. With the thermal pad being non-conductive and decent softness the pad formed well enough with the heatsink sandwiching it over the PCB. So far it is better quality over the stock pads and has helped control the temps for running at higher clocks on the memory, as well as the other components it was placed over. Price is a bit up there, but decent quality and known brand.

so i have a raspberry pi 5 with a simple 40mm x 40mm x 11mm. since i had the older minus pad 8 i figured that i would compare the advance performance against the older generation. so i ran some stressberry tests to compare what some different temperatures would look like. 1 with the minus pad 8 with a fan, then with out a fan, then comparing it with the advance. as we can see from the picture the fan obviously helps a lot. but both the minus pan 8 and the minus pad advance both does a good job at keeping the temperature down so that it doesnt throttle. though there is a clear difference in performance between the temperature of the minus pad 8 and advance. we can easily see both starting at the same baseline temps then advance does a better job transferring the heat to the heat sink to dissipate which also helps in the recover time after.very happy with the performance which should help a lot during hot summer days. right now the ambient in the room is 66f

Thermal Grizzly is a highly celebrated company specializing in computer component cooling, including thermal pads. Those who are fans of TG and in need of pads with the highest thermal conductivity should explore Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad Pro line. The Advance line however, combines the best of both worlds on performance vs cost basis. Furthermore, it's more than sufficient for 99% of the use cases in my opinion anyways.Moving on, these pads arrived impeccably doubly packaged to prevent moisture loss. FYI, these pads should be soft, tender, and slightly moist to the touch. At any rate, these pads are more than large to cover any consumer line components that need cooling. So the user should fare better and stretch their dollars by cutting it up to size appropriate for the component at hand. It's recommended that the user use a razor blade to cut the pads to size as opposed to using scissors. To close, these are high quality thermal pads boasting high thermal conductivity. That said, I wish it came with pads in varying widths as costs can add up significantly were the user in need of a variety. You'd certainly need a couple at the very least for GPUs. 4 out of 5 stars.

I am using these pads to connect the CPU and GPU thermally to the bottom case. This is a "hack" that you can do to pull heat from the CPU and GPU on a Macbook. I set the laptop on an aluminum heatsink and then the whole thing on a laptop cooling pad (the kind with fans). My laptop, in the past, would throttle and only a single core would run at "turbo" speeds. That turbo would quickly fall to the "base" speed. However, using these thermal pads, I can get the laptop to run at full-tilt. ALL 4 CORES were running at turbo speeds and there was no throttling. I ran the laptop full tilt (it was doing video compression) for many hours with no crashes or reboots. At no time did the laptop throttle. All 4 cores ran full tilt the whole time.Caveat: DO NOT DO THIS HACK AND PLACE THE DEVICE ON YOUR LAP. The bottom gets VERY hot and you will definitely get burned. The thermal pads are functioning well and doing what I want.

Thick 2mm pads for filling big gaps. Many pads are thinner than these on many of the video cards I've experienced, though there are the occasional components that are off somewhere by themselves on the board and will need to get their own piece of pad in order to touch whatever part of the heatsink is above it. These big square pads can be trimmed or sliced to make custom sized for unusual places like on those circuit boards. For two pads it is a little pricey compared to other options, but there is more than just the pad itself going into the Thermal Grizzly name.
