This is an excellent rug pad to stop slipping. I have a rug in my entry foyer that had become hazardous because you could step on it and it would slide. It had a thick old-fashioned felt rug pad underneath that gave a nice feel under the rug, but was no longer gripping the wood floor below. I added this thin but grippy rug pad under the felt pad (picture # 1) and it was the perfect combination. Now I have anti-slip and comfort, though not in the same pad. I don’t think this pad would have provided enough cushioning under my rug, but it does provide the anti-slip to the thicker rug pad, which is directly in contact with my rug. I’ve tested it and the rug no longer slides across the floor when you step on it. Success!One word of warning: when you first open this rug pad from its plastic container bag, it reeks unbelievably badly. I hung it over a statue outside my front door (picture #3) for several days and the smell disappeared. I could not have used it right out of the bag, so give yourself a few days to air it out before you use it inside your house.

As part of my home renovations I'll be putting in a lot of plank vinyl flooring. and that means I'll have a number of area rugs sitting on them. Bare rugs on vinyl flooring tend to slip a bit- even when they are labeled "non-slip".These rubbery mesh Rug pads and do a fairly decent job of keeping everything in place as well as the carpet not bunching up, and they also had a little extra softness to these thinner low pile carpets. You can also cut them to size easily for specific carpets. Their cost is also fairly reasonable.

This rug pad does very well to keep my rug from slipping on the hardwood floor. It was an 8' x 10' rug pad and my rug was 7' x 9' so I had to cut it down to fit. It was very easy to cut to size with a pair of scissors. It provides some cushion for the run which should make my rug last longer and protect my floor from wear from the rug rubbing on it. It was easy to install by laying it out on the floor where you want the rug, laying the rug on top of it, folding the rug back and cutting to size if needed. I am very pleased with the results.

The TJWODO 8X10 FT Non-Slip Rug Pad fits perfectly underneath my 8x10 area rug. When I unpackaged the pad, it smelled really bad so I put it in the dryer with sheets to air fluff. After 20 minutes, the odor was reduced and I proceeded to install it. The pad is thin in thickness but dense in cross-sectional fibers for more contact area with floor and rug. This helps prevent slipping.
