Everyone complains about how short they are??? Weld them together !! Save your short ends and weld them to the next rod you use. Seems simple. But most people are.

When I weld, I can usually hold the filler rod down to about 3 or 4" long before it starts burning my fingers. Since these are only 16" long, I end up wasting 25% of every rod. At the end of my latest job, I noticed dozens of 4" pieces of rod all over the ground. What a waste. I don't recommend, nor will I buy short rods again. Normally I waste 4" of 36" that's 1/9, however with these its 1/4 that you waste. That makes these rods significantly more expensive than the longer ones. Good rod quality though.

Works as expected. Note that some reviews talk about how the product is too short and causes waste. However, the length is easy to handle. You can use a hemostat as shown. Then the waste is about 1 inch.
