It’s slightly on the flimsy side. But it does the job.It’s fascinating how it starts off one way and then it changes to another and it’s mesmerizing!Yeah, I had ordered this “used”.That backfired for me it was horribly repackaged by the Customer, obviously because it was poorly done and the balls on the end of a string had gotten all tangled and was a rats of knots.I took it as a challenge and was able to untangle it in about an hour. I do stupid things like that now and then because I get ornery. Then I was able to put it into action and it was fascinating to watch.Then I was able to evaluate it, and while I liked the result, I was resentful that I had to spend so much time untangled it because of poor packaging and decided just to return it.If I run into it again, built in a more substantial manner so that it will stand a chance of surviving the shipment and be available for a lifetime of use, I may just buy one again.

I thought I didn't have any strings in the way. But I was wrong. User error I couldn't see the strings under the tape wrapped around the foam, so I ended up cutting four balls off before I even got to use it . Great size, quality and construction. Just now I have to fix it .

Arrived within one day. At first I was hesitant to order this item because of the reviews. But it works as shown in You Tube videos and I was pleasantly surprised and amused at the wonderful snake shapes when the pendulum swing. It comes completely assembled and has 15 balls as advertised. One ball was a bit tangled upon unboxing but easily rectified. This is a precision toy as the pendulum strings must be of perfect length in proportion to each other. Occasionally the two strings supporting one ball become twisted but very easy to set right.

I bought this pendulum wave to use in training demos. I came well packaged and the materials look to be high quality. I wanted it because it had 15 pendulums and the waves and periodicity changes should be more visual. Not so. the craftmanship was substandard. Although the pendulums hung to the right heights, they did not perform well. There were two sets of two adjacent pendulums that has the same periodicity and soon the wave disappeared. there were two problems, at least. the attachment at the top bar, varied. they used glue and the glue would enter the hole in the bar, effectively changing the pendulum length. they also had this problem where the pendulum strings were attached to the balls. it is a very attractive tool but simply does not perform well. I returned it and bought a 9 ball pendulum, it performs much better.

For this to work correctly, it has to be constructed carefully in order for the various balls to oscillate at different frequencies. Unfortunately, some of the supporting strings are twisted beyond repair, some of the balls hang at incorrect heights, and some balls hang at an angle rather than straight. As a result, the motion will never synchronize as intended. Additionally, it was packed and shipped in a tangled mess that required considerable time and effort to untangle.
