If you know what you're getting into, this is a great product. There are a lot of tradeoffs compared to a traditional reverse osmosis system. What this excels at:- Limited space. This is much smaller than traditional reverse osmosis systems with the 5 gallon tank.- Ease of maintenance. Changing filters couldn't be simpler. Installation is very easy. The tradeoffs:- Sloooooooow. Takes about 20 seconds to fill up a glass of water.- Takes about 60 seconds to begin dispensing purified water. This also makes it wasteful as it will be dispensing water the whole time.- More expensive than traditional systems and filters.- Uses electricity. You'll need to have an outlet nearby.- Must use the included faucet. It's not ugly or anything, but it may not match your current fixtures.I get around the slow speed by filling up a 2 gallon container (takes 5 minutes exactly) and leaving it in my fridge.Overall, the water tastes very good, maintenance is very easy, and it takes up a very small amount of space, which is the main reason I purchased this. If your situation is the same, then I recommend this. If you have the extra space and don't mind less convenient filter changes, I recommend getting a traditional system. Not having a tank of purified water on demand is the biggest drawback of this system, but is easy enough to work around for me, and worth the space saved in my small kitchen.

This masterfully designed water purifying system is amazing, compact, & relatively easy install. However, you must have access to 110 Volt outlet for it to function, since there's a built-in pump system that generates water flow out of the spigot, far greater than the "water flow, multistage filter system provides. An LED face provides info of water flow, condition of the Uni-Cartridge System, so you know when to replace it... it's a ONE & DONE replacement system... SO EASY! The electrical input lights the LED face as well as pumps water into glass, bottles or pots, and it's flow is remarkably better than the water pressure design. This system takes brilliantly & thoroughly takes out all the chlorine, bromine, particulates, etc., leaving crystal clear drinking & cooking water, that tastes as good or better than purified bottled waters on the market. This system also is most useful to us due to having a very large tropical fish tank, so we use the filter for water addition & water replacement. All the fish literally swim up to get their freshwater bath each week. It does cost a little more than the average Osmosis Pressure Water Purifier but us far more water, faster, more consistently and plentifully. A must if your tap water tastes off, or even terrible. Your family will want to drink more water & less soda with system in your kitchen, wet bar, or even a bathroom sink.

It took me about 20 minutes to install, including drilling the little hole in the drain pipe under the sink and finagling the appliance into a reasonable place past all the plumbing. The output numbers on the faucet, which I do agree is pretty cool looking, seem to be accurate. I have a TDS meter. I measured the TDS in the untreated water, and the numbers agree with the numbers listed on the faucet, then I measured the water output by the RO faucet at different stages of clean. The output water starts out a little higher and as you run the water, it gets down from clean to very very very clean, and samples taken at different points points in the run agree with the output numbers displayed on the faucet. My home's tap water is typically at about 220 TDS, and this RO filter reduces it to about 10 after 30 seconds and about 6 after a minute or so.The water tastes outstanding, such that getting used to it and then drinking tap water at a nearby friend's house is kind of a jarring experience. The filter is a little expensive, but for the simplicity of the install and filter change, I'm okay with it.I went from the kind of guy that doesn't mind drinking out of a hose to being a water purity snob, and typically take a bottle to go when I leave the house.

I switched to this D6 unit from a tank based system I've had for 5 years.Installation is fairly simple if you already have a RO system installed with a drain line, or if you are comfortable with minor plumbing work and drilling a hole for your drain line. What I liked:* Sleek design, takes up slightly less space than my tank based unit.* Visual readout of TDS and filter life at the counter top.* Easy to change filter. What I disliked* Pressure was somewhat low compared to my tank based system, but unlike the tank based system I don't run out of water after a few minutes.* TDS Creep was somewhat high on this unit. If the unit sits for a while, you may have TDS leech into the water when you turn it on. This will result in your TDS climbing sharply for the first 15 seconds after the water starts to flow, and then it will promptly drop. This is a problem inherent in all RO system, but I was not expecting it to be this bad. My tank based system never gave TDS after sitting idle in the 100s.I'm going to return this unit and try a different multi filter RO system + post filter to see if I get better results.
