These are pretty good quality gels at a good price. They aren't as thick as some others I've bought, but they are still nice, and should last a long time. There are enough of each color that you can cut them to fit your needs and still have some spares. Overall, pretty nice product.

I got these for use in a football team photo shoot to throw some red light as a kicker (to light the back side of the face from behind in the team color). The green was an extra. This was just as well because, while the red gels gave great, strong red light (see photo...with my face edited out), the green gels gave a washed out blue-green tone even when I used two gels stacked. I don't see them as useful unless a pale cyan is what I need. The green set also showed small areas of separation between the protective film and the gel on all pieces. The red set was fine. The gels are roughly 9"x11" and quite stiff.Of course, the red gel cut down light output: to give an idea of the scale of this I did a quick quasi-scientific study with a small flash at 1/8 power (manual). With no gel my Seikonic light meter read f5.6...with the red gel in place it dropped to f2.0. Using the strobe's zoom to concentrate light a little f6.3 with no gel went to f2.5. But, in practice I found I got reasonable red kicker lighting at f7.1 and 1/8 power with the strobe about 6ft from the subject (high and to camera right; see quick and dirty photo at the top of the review, ISO100).In summary, the green gel is pretty worthless for my purpose (strobe photography) as the green is too weak, but the red was great. And because I can cut them down to the size of the strobe, these should last a long time.
