Powder coated airplane cable. Exactly like the description says. Not plastic wrapped. High quality, looks beautiful. I’m very pleased and will purchase more.

This steel cable arrived in perfect condition and was easy to unspool and string across posts. It has held up well under tension and I don't see having any issues with it over time. It hasn't been exposed to the weather long enough to see how it's anti-rust properties hold up but with it being stainless steel I think it should hold up well. This met all my requirements and I'll be ordering some more to finish out some of my other post spans.

I used this to support a string of cafe lights. It works well for that purpose, and I'm sure it would work well for other purposes too: It's a very versatile product. It's blackened by oxidation, which is a durable passive film that is highly resistant to further oxidation - meaning in an outdoor setting it will resist the signs of ageing. Five stars without hesitation. The photo doesn't show the cable itself, but rather what I used it for. And take note: the camera lies! Without the snow to reflect the light, these cafe lights do very little to illuminate - but that's a separate review waiting for the snow to melt!

This tightly woven cable is made of T316 stainless steel. The formula contains molybdenum for enhanced corrosion resistance, making it ideal for outdoor land and marine (saltwater) environments. The smooth black 1/8" cable is commonly used for deck and stair railings, and can also be used for other applications, such as safety barriers and protective fencing. It comes with a 10 year warranty.We have deer that like to forage in our yard, and I will use the cable to construct barriers around a few of our valuable plants. The cable is fairly expensive, but economical compared to wood fencing since it uses less materials, is unaffected by wind, doesn't require painting or waterproofing, and should last for many years.
