This has all the bells and whistles one could want -- TIF card, bluetooth, weather alert, lights, etc. -- but is more than just a standby radio, because it sounds so good. It's not hi-fi, but it's not tinny either, and is far better than I would expect from any radio this size. I tend to be wrapped up in pop music during the day, but for relaxing at night, this is very well-balanced sound for classical. A real bargain. -- And, the weather radio is far more sensitive and clear than my midland 120. I can actually hear the announcements without having to jam my ear to the speaker.

This is great radio, it sounds great, and it functions nicely, I was able to pick the Alex Jones Show on the Short Wave band.The AM/FM/Weather signals are strong, the Micro SD card works great. The Flashlights work well enough, they are bright enough to walk or hike with, and you can listen to music while the flashlight is on.Over all a very nice piece of kit, the one thing that would be nice is to have a earplug out so you could use earbuds.And it would be nice to be able to replace the built in battery without having to open it up and do surgery. Other than those two little items, this thing rocks for a personal radio in the shop, or the work area. It's loud enough to use in the backyard, even had the neighbors complain. Which is silly since it has no thumping bass, more treble than bass. Maybe they didn't like the Pod Cast. Or the fact you can't tell it to turn off like Alexa.As for longevity it should last for a while as long as you don't abuse it, the plastic feels like ABS, it seems firm no soft spots anywhere. One note that ABS can become very brittle the colder it gets. I got the Gold, it is not Gold it is Tan. Looks good Tan with black trim.

This is a radio that I believe will come in handy for camping and power outages. It has a nice flash light on one end and a large LED on the other end for lighting up a room or tent. With AM, FM, SW and NOAA weather stations all covered, it can be used for everything from music to emergency weather warnings. Add Bluetooth and MP3 capability, plus good sound as more positives. I also like it's multiple options for power, including AA batteries. The tuner dial is different, but has operated fine.As some reviewers have noted, the main negative could be it's USB charging receptacle in which the charging USB plug fits tightly and binds a bit. I found that spraying the USB plug with WD-40 and wicking off the extra with a paper towel reduced plug and connector binding. Then I plug it in carefully. That seems to be the ticket for that issue.After several weeks of use, I'm happy with the overall performance of this radio.
