Bought these to slightly raise the height of a Herman Miller chair as is was scraping the carpet. Did the job perfectly. Good quality castors easy to fit.

These are the only wheels that have lasted more than a month without siezing.Bought in June 2021 for a heavy chair and 115kg person used 12 to 16 hours a day everyday they are still working.Don't know how much longer they'll last but very happy so far. Will probably buy another set soon for spare set.April 30 2023 update.Starting to get noisy now, still roll alright not sure how long they will last. Will order a new set soon.

If you're like me, you might be wondering if these are actually better than the other similarly priced castors on Amazon. In particular, the metal framed ones with clear wheels that all look identical, from many different sellers, at a price point for every budget. Well, I bought both so I could find out.Short Answer: Yes. These castors are great! Better than the metal framed ones in a few key ways:- Quieter. When you jiggle or move the chair the swivel bearings do not feel loose and rattle around like the metal ones do.- Stronger. The improved, sealed swivel bearing design is an obvious improvement.- Smart. The plastic housing covers the top side of the wheel so your feet can rest on them without preventing it from rolling. (seems like a small thing but makes a difference on something you use every day)- Appealing. The plastic housing just looks better and matches the plastic base of most office chairs really well. I wish the logo on the side were more discrete, but it's only on one side of the housing so it isn't too obnoxious.Aside from those key differences, they are nearly identical in all other ways:- Smooth, low resistance rolling, even on a rough tile floor.- Increases chair height, my arm rests do not fit under the desk anymore.- Pivot smoothly. In Closing:Both types of castors significantly improve your sitting and rolling experience when compared to the smaller standard plastic wheels. Although I worry about longevity, you'll have a good experience with the metal framed casters. On the other hand, you'll have a GREAT experience with these plastic ones. If its in your budget, it is worth buying these ones.

I've own these casters for 2 years. These are by far the best chair wheels I've purchased. I grew pretty hateful of office chairs/wheels because their lousy construction, busting loose or spilling ball bearings. Worst was when the wheels broke plastic chair base. They needed roller bearings along time ago. I've had these Atomdoc casters over 2 years and they're by far the best casters I've ever put on a chair. They've eliminated a lot of lifting, juilting, juking, bunny-hopping and dragging. No casters work great on thick carpet. A year ago, I moved the office into a room with pile carpeting. It did O.K. but not great. I purchased a plastic office mat. It did 2 things (1) mobility was restored (2) It reduced the loose shifting and planted itself better where you stopped the chair but still permitted the chair to be mobile. It sorta became the ideal chair.Easy to install, better than regular stem ball bearings with 3" roller blade wheels.
