We have a drafty dining area and our food gets cold before we even start eating. This plate warmer has solved the problem! It's a very straightforward design and the plates tuck into the folds of the warmer. Think of it as an electric heating pad with pre-folded, accordion-style design so that you can just plug it in, tuck in the plates and let the plates get nice and warm. It takes about 10 minutes to go from cold-state to nice warm plates, which is pretty reasonable. On Christmas Day, I made the mistake of leaving the plates in the warmer for over an hour and they got way too hot - so be careful and remember to unplug the unit after 15-20 minutes. It would be nice if the unit had an on/off switch, rather than just plug and unplug, and temperature control would also be nice (just like a typical heating pad). But - all in all - it's a good product and delivers nice warm plates.

I like warm plates. It's that simple. Well, at least for warm food - not ice cream or cake. But if you are eating a hot dish, why not keep it at least warm - much more enjoyable that way. So we have had several plate warmers over the years. This one is just great. Very low tech. You put the plates (or serving dishes) in between the folds and plug it in. It's that simple. Well, except...remember to unplug it and let the plates rest just a bit. Otherwise they can get a bit too warm. Highly recommended.

Advertised on Amazon Australia where it is not capable of being used due to wrong voltage. The voltage not stated anywhere. Seller and Amazon most unhelpful

Have tried it in every outlet in my home. So disappointed, not even slightly warm. First thing I ordered from Amazon that Does Not Work! Now, in addition to going back to heating plates in the oven, I have to take time after work to drive to the UPS store to return it. I gave it one star to be able to place the review.
